Use Keyboard Shortcuts for Faster Production

The default shortcut set in IconGenerator is enough to remove most repetitive menu navigation. This guide groups the most useful keys by task.

Core production shortcuts

• F2: open Preferences.
• F3: create generated icon files from current generated selection.
• F4: create collection icon files from current collection.
• Ctrl+F: open Find Icons.

Overlay positioning shortcuts

• F5: top-left
• F6: top-right
• F7: bottom-left
• F8: bottom-right

These keys are context-dependent. They apply to collection icons when the collection panel has focus; otherwise they apply to generated icons.

Selection and editing shortcuts

• Ctrl+A: select all
• Shift+Ctrl+A: select none
• Ctrl+D: duplicate for edition
• Alt+Enter: open icon properties

Panel visibility shortcuts

• F11: toggle Generated Icons window
• F12: toggle Icon Collections window

This is useful when you need more space while browsing icons or editing a large collection.

Build your team shortcut baseline

1. Document the small set of keys your team will use daily (F2, F3, F4, Ctrl+F, F5-F8).
2. Use the same workflow in onboarding to reduce export mistakes.
3. Keep keyboard focus in the right panel before using overlay position shortcuts.
